An excellent band called Reigning Sound made several albums, including one titled Too Much Guitar.

Yeah. Nah. As if...

Avon Valley - the Bures Band, from from Perth, Western Australia, a new single from an album that's supposed to be coming in late August. They've been going since 2022, this will be their third album, and we just discoverd them a week ago.

Be Still - Even, a trio featuring Ashley Naylor on guitar and vocals. It's on an album they did in 2021 titled Reverse Light Years.

Justine - Pony Face, which is the name of a guy, a band and a record label. The song is on their album Deja Vu, a 2018 release. In 2014 they released a complete cover of Springsteen's album Nebraska.

Jazz rock funk fusion

Malakies - Horatio Luna, from his album Action Reaction, it came out in May.

Golden Child - Steady Weather, the title track of the album they put out in June.

Into the vault

From 1975, one of the most daring bands in 1970s Australia, from their second album, titled Ego Is Not A Dirty Word, here's Skyhooks. We heard:

- The title track, Ego Is Not A Dirty Word

- The Other Side

- Love's Not Good Enough

Guitars, guitars guitars

Snooze Alarm - Joel Silbersher (Fancy Weapon, Hoss, God, Tex Perkins, much more) and Charlie Owen (New Christs, Beasts Of Bourbon, Tex, Don & Charlie, etc), from an album titled Tendrils, something they did in 1995, and which had the vinyl reissue treatment in 2018.

My Pal - GOD, featuring a young guitar player named Joel Silbersher. My Pal was a 1988 single.

Also Sprach The King Of Euro-Disco - Ed Kuepper, the former Saints guitarist, with a 1986 single from his album Rooms of the Magnificent. We have it on the compilation Single 86-96, which came out in 2021.

Jangle pop

Outlaws & Lovers - Belles Will Ring, a Sydney band, the song was on their 2007 album Mood Patterns.

Sunburned in London - a recent single, recent as in it came out in February 2026, by a band with the snappy name Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever - they've been working since 2013 and have release three albums so apparently the name isn't a problem. They're from Melbourne.

Dom Mariani and the Majestic Kelp start us off, move us along, and tell us when we're done
