Show 143

No tricks just treats

It's not a Halloween show - Australians mostly don't go in for the costumes and trick-or-treat thing, but in the spirit of the season we've pulled out a bunch of songs and bands with spooky titles and names, just for fun.

The Zombie - C.W. Stoneking, off his 2014 album Gon' Boogaloo.

Three-Headed Dog - Jungle Jim Smith, from his album This Is Ghost Country, a September 2024 release.

Death Letter Blues - Murder Mouse Blues Band, from their 2009 album Fill The Hole. It's their take on the song by Delta blues musician Son House, who'd played versions of it under various titles going back to the 1940s.

Rattlin' Bones - Kasey Chambers, the title track of her 2018 album. It is labeled a Kasey Chambers album but her husband at the time, Shane Nicholson, is a prominent contributor.

Skeleton Kiss - Geoff Achison, from, his album Sovereign Town, a 2018 release.

Damned To Hell - The Jon Butler Trio, from their 2004 album Sunrise Over Sea.

Werewolf - Felicity Cripps, from her album Chasing Volcanoes, an August 2024 release.

Me And A Devil - Tim Rogers of You Am I fame guesting with the Bamboos from an album they put out in 2015 titled The Rules of Attraction.

Devil Inside - INXS, it was on their 1987 album Kick.

Underground - Monique Brumby with a 2011 single.

Three songs from Graveyard Train from their 2010 album, The Drink, the Devil & the Dance

The Devil's Drum

Run Billy Run

Even Witches Like To Go Out Dancing

Lost - the Badloves, from 1993, their album Get On Board.

White Shawl - David McComb from the Triffids with a little something that was on the 2006 expanded version of the band's album Born Sandy Devotional, which originally came out in 1986.

Ghost Train - the Bondi Cigars, from their first LP, released in 1990. This version from the compilation 32 Premium Quality Cuts 1990 - 2006.

Dom Mariani and the Majestic Kelp supply our hello and goodbye and in between musical bits.
