To begin the music I have for you, the third of the three songs on superstar saxophonist Gerald Albright’s brand new album G-Stream 2-Turn It Up. I am not certain how Albright could turn it up any more since his last mini album G-Steam of only three songs charted three Billboard number ones. Yet it is really top notch music and if I was a betting man I would not bet against a future of three more number ones from this new album.  From G-Steam 2,I have the sax of Gerald Albright with By My Side.

May 6th pianist Brian Culbertson released the third album of a three part project titled Trilogy.  Part 1 last year was identified with the color red, part 2 released  in January was blue, and now we have Trilogy Part 3 White. From that album, I have the keys of Brian Culbertson with a very powerful song, You Are My Everything

Our latest release in Smooth Jazz is the May 13 release of the  album Savoir Faire from saxophonist and flute player Najee.  He was heavily influenced to a music career at age 8 by listening to his Mother’s Miles Davis recordings. Later his inspiration came from Grover Washington Jr, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, and other greats.  Najee has been releasing great albums since 1986. His debut album Najee’s Theme received a Grammy nomination for best jazz album, not a bad way to start a solo career. From Najee’s brand new album Savoir Faire I have his song  Hurricane featuring the guitar of Adam Hawley.

The Braxton Brothers are twin brothers with Nelson on the bass and Wayne on the saxophone. On April 8th they released a terrific brand new single Catalina Nights. The brothers are joined on “Catalina Nights" by an array of wonderful fellow Smooth Jazz artists, Jason Peterson DeLaire on keys, Chris Camozzi on jazz guitar, and Chris Gray on the trumpet.
