I will pick up the music right where we finished up on last  week’s show playing in order Billboard’s Smooth Jazz number one songs from 2021. This will give us the chance to hear once again the excellent music from last year while we wait for new releases from what is already shaping up to be another banner year of music from this format. Due to intense competition for the number one spot last year, most songs were only on top for one week. Last week we only were able to reach Billboard’s number one on August 7th.

After completing Billboard number one songs in Smooth Jazz from 2021, I will have some time left to look at some of last year’s late releases. It was highly unusual to see December releases of music that were not Christmas. We amazingly had two, one from saxophonist Kenny G and one from Canadian Smooth Jazz rumba flamenco guitarist Jesse Cook.

Also Joyce will have a feature with the inside story of the events leading to Kenny G achieving fame.

Thank you for your continuing support of KKRN and this program.
