I wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving from all of us at KKRN. In my household Smooth Jazz will always be part of the celebration. Music always adds so much to all parts of our lives. I would never like to be without it.
Let’s begin this week’s music on a soft note with a song written for Thanksgiving. It will allow us to float away into deep reflective thought about all the good things that are a part of our lives and for which we are thankful.. Jim Brickman studied piano while taking business classes in college. He got his start in music by writing jingles for commercials. Since then he has released a tremendous amount of wonderful easy listening holiday music. He has collaborated with many major artists. The keys of Jim Brickman opens our show from his album Homecoming with Thanksgiving.
What a banner year this has been in Smooth Jazz. New releases continue to pour in. I just can't play them all but I continue to try. This week I have brand new songs from Kenny G, Carol Albert, Jackiem Joyner, and more. Please stick around for the second hour of our program where you will hear virtuoso violinist and international star Caroline Campbell. She is regarded by many as the best violinist ever.
Thank you for your continuing support of KKRN and this program.
