The Bee Gees Barry Gibb last topped the charts 40 years ago. He's back with a new album that is number one in the United Kingdom. I am playing it for you.

I have an amazing brand new album to begin the music this week. You are unlikely to hear these songs on any other area radio program. These songs are not Smooth Jazz but simply really good music which is my ongoing goal to play for you.

Remember the Bee Gees. Sadly only Barry Gibb remains alive. He deeply misses his brothers each and every day. Well it has now been forty years since the brothers Gibb have topped the charts. But wait, we find the year starting off with Barry Gibb once again, forty years later, with a number one album in the United Kingdom. Barry redid some of the Bee Gees hits with a who’s who of collaborators. The album is titled Greenfields The Gibb Brothers Songbook Volume 1 and was just released January 8th. Featured with Barry Gibb among others are Dolly Parton, Olivia Newton John, Brandi Carlisle, Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, and the list goes on.

I have a double listen from this great new album. Starting us off will be Barry Gibb with the group  Little Big Town and the incomparable and exquisite guitar of the fantastic Tommy Emmanuel with How Deep Is Your Love. Then we will hear Barry with a beautiful duet with Alison Krause with Too Much Heaven.

Thank you for your support of this program and KKRN.
