Well known for his wonderful music from Peanuts movies and TV shows, pianist David Benoit released a new album this week. I have our first listen.

I began this program just over four and one-half years ago. I have tried to bring Smooth Jazz back to radio in our neck of the woods. During that time I have played well over three thousand different songs, not including Christmas music played during December. Continuing that quest, this week I have more exciting new releases in Smooth Jazz to put on the air. Last week we played a number of new releases, the majority from pianists. Now this week we have new music from the master pianist, that would be pianist David Benoit. He is considered to be one of the musicians to be most responsible for the development of the Smooth Jazz format and is well known for his wonderful music from Peanuts movies and TV shows. His new album was just released February 18th. The title track was released early which explains how I will get it on the air so quickly. The album and this song are titled A Midnight Rendezvous.
