I have another fantastic classic among classics segment for you this week. I take you back to December 31, 1978 for this one from pianist, composer, and producer Dave Grusin. This man has composed many scores for feature films and television. In his career, he has won an Academy Award for The Milagro Beanfield War and ten Grammys. He is the co-founder of GRP records of which he is the G. This company was instrumental in the creation of the smooth jazz format. I will play a song that was one of the very first all digital recordings ever produced. This was the title track to Dave Grusin’s 1978 album Mountain Dance.
I have more new releases from Steve Cole. Chris Standring, Cindy Bradley, Julian Vaughn, Althea Rene, Michael J. Thomas, Pieces Of A Dream, and Johnny Britt.
In the middle of the first hour, I will play Billboard's top three songs in smooth jazz for this week.
The second hour is devoted to smooth jazz classics.
Thank you for your continuing support of this program and KKRN.
