More Jeff Goldblum, Michael Buble', Acoustic Alchemy, Kayla Waters + Billboard's top 3 for this week + classic old 2nd hour

I’m back at it tonight with the absolute latest and Billboard’s top three songs in smooth jazz in the first hour and the best of the classic old from this format in hour two.

I closed a show three weeks ago with a teaser not identifying the song until the following week. The pianist was, believe it or not,  movie and television actor Jeff Goldblum. When he is not acting Goldblum does a live performance every Wednesday night at an intimate jazz lounge, the Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles with the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. I normally try not to repeat songs but since it is a great song and ended that program three weeks ago, I think it is deserving of another play, this time with the proper credits.  This is Jeff Goldblum on the keys, Till Bronner on the sax, and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, a live performance recorded for Goldblum’s latest album The Capitol Studio Sessions with It Never Entered My Mind.

Next we have another song from Michael Buble’s triumphant return to his career after being away two years to successfully help fight his young son’s cancer. His new album titled Love has now been number one on the jazz album charts for seven straight weeks. This song is When I Fall In Love.

In the middle of the first hour, I will play for you Billboard’s top three songs in smooth jazz for this week.

Our second hour is devoted to the classic old from smooth jazz. We begin as always the second hour with suburb jazz singer and jazz pianist Diana Krall. She has two Grammy nominations this year along with Tony Bennett for their album Love Is Here To Stay. The Grammy Award show is February 10th. This song I will play for you tonight is from her album Quiet nights. Out of all the many, many songs she sings, this is her husband’s favorite. It is a Lerner and Loewe tune. Diana Krall leads this segment off with I’ve Grown Accustomed To His Face.

Euge Groove closes out tonight's program.
