Next week will mark the completion of one year that I have been doing this program. I have tried not to repeat songs except for our billboard top three. Breaking with this policy, I thought for this anniversary it would be fun to do a two week show playing for you again, one each, of my favorite song from each of the many smooth jazz artists I have featured on this program. Numbers missing were weeks I did not feature an artist. Redding used to have a smooth jazz radio station. Some areas of the country have enjoyed a huge resurgence in the popularity of smooth jazz. It has been my hope to reignite interest in the Redding area. In preparing my shows, I have personally benefited a great deal from researching information about the music I love so much. My thanks and gratitude for all the help along the way from Ellen, our station manager, Bobbi, our program manager, Chauncey that does the program Archaic Radio on Thursdays for teaching me how to wade through the technical aspects, and of course the always very helpful Shane that does the program Local Motion on Fridays. I thank as well all the rest of the volunteers at KKRN. These are great people.
In addition there is one more person I would like to give a very special recognition. Without the continuing love and support of my lovely wife Joyce, I would have never been able to accomplish this task. Joyce was absolutely essential in every way for my being able to do this show.
